Vitamin A, D, E & K is a fat-soluble vitamin supplement for horses, providing four essential vitamins that are commonly depleted in hay and forage-based diets. It is particularly well suited to the winter months or for horses without access to fresh green grass fed on hay over six months old.

Key Ingredients

• Vitamin A — An essential fat-soluble vitamin included to contribute to normal eye function, normal muscle function, and the normal maintenance of mucous membranes in the respiratory, digestive, and reproductive tracts. While abundant in fresh grass, Vitamin A levels in hay decline significantly with age, often falling short of requirements in hay over 12 months old.
• Vitamin D — An essential fat-soluble vitamin included to contribute to normal calcium absorption and normal phosphorus metabolism, both important for normal bone development in growing horses. Vitamin D levels decline with prolonged hay storage, and modern management practices such as limited turnout can restrict the horse's ability to synthesise it via the skin.
• Natural Vitamin E — An essential fat-soluble vitamin included to contribute to normal antioxidant function, helping to neutralise free radicals produced during normal cellular activity, and to contribute to normal immune function. Vitamin E content in hay is very low and diminishes quickly.
• Vitamin K — An essential fat-soluble vitamin included to contribute to normal blood clotting function, normal vascular health, normal bone density, and normal bone formation. While horses generally obtain sufficient Vitamin K from their diet, supplementation can be particularly beneficial for performance horses with elevated nutritional demands.
